Repeat Prescriptions

How can I Order my Repeat Prescription?

The quickest way to order a repeat prescription is online via the NHS App/Website or through Patient Access:

Non-urgent advice: Please allow up to 3 working days (excluding weekends and holidays) for us to prepare your prescription and have it signed by a doctor

Please allow sufficient time to order your repeat medication so that you do not run out and it affords the Pharmacists more time to prepare your medication.

You can request your medication up to 7-10 days before you run out. In certain circumstances exceptions can be made, please contact the surgery by email to [email protected].

Non-urgent advice: Prescriptions will be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy

Prescriptions will be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy. If you have not nominated a pharmacy you can do this in the NHS app. Please visit this NHS website to find out more about nominating a pharmacy Nominating a pharmacy – NHS App help and support – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

If you do not nominate a pharmacy it will be sent by default to Boots Pharmacy, Wood Lane.

Non-urgent advice: Medication Queries

If you have a query about your medication the best place to go is your local pharmacy. Pharmacists are qualified medical professionals and experts in medication. They will advise you if your query needs to be sent to a GP.

If you do not have a usual pharmacy you can find your local one by visiting the NHS pharmacy finder website and entering your postcode Find a pharmacy – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

If after speaking to a pharmacist you feel your query has not been answered please submit a Patch form or book an appointment both of which can be done through the NHS app.
