Managing Your Appointments

Click the different headings below to get more information:

If you can’t make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. This helps us offer the slot to someone else.

You’ll get a text message before your appointment with a link to cancel.

If you can’t cancel using the link, call us on 01895 632 677. You’ll hear an automated option to check and cancel your appointment. You’ll need to enter your date of birth and call from the phone number we have on file.

When patients don’t show up and don’t cancel, it wastes time and stops others from getting help. Across the NHS, this adds up to over 1.2 million GP hours lost each year.

We work hard to make sure appointments are used well. If you miss an appointment without telling us, it’s marked as Did Not Attend (DNA). This can lead to longer waits and missed care.

Our team follows the rules in our DNA policy.

We offer same-day urgent appointments.

To request one, fill out a Blinx Online Consultation Form. A GP will review your form and decide what help you need. If you need to come in, our reception team will call you to book a time.

You can bring a family member or friend. If you prefer, we can provide a trained staff member as a formal chaperone.

Getting Help Outside Regular Appointments

Click the different headings below to get more information:

If you need a home visit, please call us before 10am.

A doctor will call you back to ask some questions and decide:

  • if a home visit is needed, or
  • if a phone call is more suitable.

We ask that only patients who are housebound request home visits. This is because doctors can see more patients at the surgery in the same time it takes to do one home visit.

Doctors also have better tools and access to your records at the surgery.

Please note: the doctor will decide if a home visit is appropriate.

If you need urgent medical help when we’re closed:

  • Call 999 for emergencies.
  • Call 111 or visit NHS 111 Online if it’s urgent but not an emergency.
  • If you are Deaf or have hearing difficulties and would like to use the NHS 111 phone service, please click the following link for more information: Other ways to contact NHS 111

We offer some appointments outside normal hours – in the evenings and at weekends.

These are provided by the Hillingdon Confederation, who support our practice and others in the area.

You can’t book these appointments yourself but may be offered an appointment by the practice. The appointment may take place at a local hub or another nearby surgery.

These appointments can include things like:

  • Face-to-face consultations
  • Telephone appointments
  • Blood tests
  • Other types of care, depending on your needs

If you need to cancel the appointment, please contact us and we can assist.

If your GP refers you to a hospital or clinic, you may get a referral letter. This letter will include details like the hospital name and department.
