- We now use Total Triage to help manage appointments.
- When you fill out a Blinx Online Consultation Form, a GP will review it. If they decide you need a routine appointment, you’ll get a text message with a link to book.
- You can also use this link to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- If you use the NHS App, make sure notifications are turned on. This way, you’ll get reminders about appointments and updates from the practice or hospital.
Pharmacy First
Need help with a minor health issue? You can get free advice and treatment from your local pharmacy — no appointment needed.
Pharmacy First allows patients to access FREE and confidential support for the following conditions:
– Sinusitis
– Sore throat
– Earache (ages 1 – 17 years)
– Infected insect bites (ages 1 year and over)
– Impetigo (ages 1 year and over)
– Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTI’s) in women
– Shingles (ages 18 years and over)
Just visit your pharmacy and ask for Pharmacy First.
Support During Your Appointment
Hearing Difficulties
You can contact us using Relay UK, a free app that helps people with hearing or speech difficulties.

Chaperone Support
You can ask for a chaperone during your appointment. A chaperone is someone who stays with you during your consultation or examination to support you.
You can bring a family member or friend. If you prefer, we can provide a trained staff member as a formal chaperone.

Referral Information
Referrals
If your GP refers you to a hospital or clinic, you may get a referral letter. This letter will include details like the hospital name and department.
You can check your current referrals and hospital appointments using the NHS App.
If you haven’t received a referral letter, you may have been referred to a community service instead. In that case, you can contact us for an update by:
